Blog 12/03

I believe the this class has been useful for me even though I am not going to become an English teacher. I my be in history but I history is heavy into writing and reading. Now reading should be already understood by the students(high school) and not be an issue for an English class such has this. Now there are differences in the way students should write for history compared to English, but there are aspects that are the same. Things such has grammar may be understood by people in my situation but for how to actually correct it and be able to present something to a student that they find useful is a large step. Also another aspect, how to actually prepare for giving assignments and actually presenting an assignment that is clear to the students, is a useful aspect of this class. Now being in history classes for so long it was difficult for me to remember how to even think like an English class student. A class for history would what to focus more on the aspects mentioned before and the history of writing, but not have to much on the terms and ideas behind writing. This is due to the differences in history and English. The class should show how to properly provide writing assignments and essays for the students, and also how to provide feedback that is useful for the student to at least appear to be better more educated people.
